An assessment of the suitability of the accommodation within a residential property for immigration purposes in connection with an application to sponsor a relative abroad to move into the property. The surveyor will assess whether the property is fit for human habitation in accordance with the provisions of Part 18 of the Housing Act 1985. The surveyor will also measure the accommodation and assess whether or not the property will contravene the overcrowding provisions within Part 10 of the Housing Act 1985. The report is addressed to the relevant Immigration Authority and 2 copies sent to the instructing client in order that a copy may be included in the visa application.
